Am looking for an electric heater which I can use not only in the U.K., but in France when we visit in October. Have a EHU `http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/redirect.asp?redir=http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/caravanning-equipment/5060070210933`, but when taking electric items before, this trips the electric on site. Any thoughts on what/where to buy from.
You need to know what ampage the site has. The average for France is around 6amps so that would allow the use of a fan heater up to 1000watts providing you were not using it for anything else like a kettle. Caravan accessory shops often sell low wattage appliances and we have a 500watt fan heater.
As David says, you need to know the ampage that the site uses. Once you know this use the guide on the second page of this attachment to judge how many amps your equipment will pull. It is only a guide so always stay on the side of caution, but it has served me well over the years.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
