how do people clean their tent carpets. I have hoovered it but it is looking a bit grubby. Other than getting on my hands and knees and scubbing it, Icant see how else to get it clean. Has any one got any other suggestions
Chuck it over the washing line and hose it down.Next use a window squeege to get out the dirty water .Do it again if you need to.I did this easter when ours got thick of mud.Carpet came up a treet.
Can't understand why people tread mud all over the tent carpet. If its wet and muddy we put a bit of groundsheet down just inside the doorway and change our shoes .

Thanks for your ideas .I will try the washing line idea next sunny day. Its the children who bring mud in the tent. How ever much you tell them, they always try to sneak in with shoes on if they want to grab something frominside the tent
We always take our shoes off but I also take a small brush and pan with me and give it a quick brush everyday for the odd bit of grass or whatever thats managed to find its way onto the carpet lol. I think sand is the worst thing, it just gets everywhere and is so difficult to get every little particle up! When we get home I also lay the carpet out and vacuum it before putting it away for the next trip.
