Hello i have one of these. They are very pretty but don't throw off an awful lot of light. Must admit it does cheer me up though on the long dark part of the year!

Maybe it's just me but they seem a bit pointless when they need sunlight to charge them up in the first place. If we had that much sun we wouldn't need them anyway! lol

They are really lovely novelty present, but have to agree with the doubts about their value for camping.

I didn't purchase one in the end.  I think they are pretty rather than functional and as you say they seem quite expensive for what they are.
