I have a Crystal Maxi water pump I think it pumps 16 litres a min I think........,
I would like a little more pressure as I will be living in the caravan in France for a year or two. Can anyone suggest a pump which gives more litres a min????
Just looked at your previous posts about your taps etc, so presume this is the external pump?
What on-board pump do you have? If it is better can you not use it?
To improve shower performance you could try a different shower head, such as the Reich trigger one. Regarding the pressure and flow from the taps in general, maybe you are expecting too much?
If not, then it does sound like you have a blockage somewhere, could be a kinked pipe or similar.
We had a 9 litres per minute external pump on our previous van and that gave plenty of water and a good shower.
Hi, I have an external and internal tank and pumps. Ive now got a bit more pressure from the external pump by shutting the valve on the internal pump so that water is not getting into the internal tank pipework.
However I have had a caravan and motorhome in the past and both have had really good pressure (motorhome pressured system) but on the caravan that doesn't seem to be the case. None of the pipework seems to be kinked and I have changed the shower tap as it was leaking underneath.
Could it be the case that the water inlet that the external pump fits into could have a slight blockage and if so how would I get it clear. Possible airline and blow it through, but would that damage the Heater and pipework?????
I have no idea regarding your last question I'm afraid.
Regarding the operation of the two pumps and the on-board tank, do you have the handbook for the van so you know you are operating the valves correctly?
Not that I know whether it makes a difference, but it's good to rule things out!
it is possible that the non return valve in the carver 2 is restricted.odd times they block up completely.to test this remove the drain plug outside ( 5 ) and set up as normal to fill the system.have someone inside to switch on the pump,as it is filling and the pump running water should gush out of the drain plug hole.if it only flows slowly there is a blockage.the non reurn valve will need to be replaced.10

------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
Domestic water at home is only about 9 Litres a minute (min). Imagine the consequences of a problem, like a loose hose clip under your sink unit with the pump turned on (has happened to me twice). You'd need wellies!
