Hi all, just wondered if anybody else has the problem of their gas cooker sliding about on the cooking stand. I have the Campingaz cooker, with the toaster bit underneath which stands on metal legs, but whenever stirring things or turning knobs etc, it slides around and sometimes nearly slips off all together!!!
Do you put something underneath your cooker and if so what - and where can i get it from!!!
Many thanks in advance.

If it slides about then why not put a piece of rubber sheet under each foot?

I have a cooking stand which has clamps to hold the cooker firmly in place. Can you not rig up a couple of G-clamps to secure the cooker firmly? it sounds like an accident waiting to happen as it is, especially if the stand isn't on level ground.

How about that non slip matting you can get, rubbery stuff to stop stuff sliding on dashboards or keeping rugs in place, in poundland and similar shops, maybe just a square under the corners.------------- Debbie

We used to have the same cooker when we had the tent and found it to wobble and slide and found it quite dangerous so we removed the legs and sat it on top of a cooking stand it all depends how much space you have got.

A blob of "Blu Tack" is always an essential in my camping kit. Perfect for making slipping things non slip, or for curing an annoying wobble.------------- Steve.
