This Brunton Polaris lantern http://www.brunton.com/product.php?id=610 was reviewed in Camping Magazine last year and got a terrific write-up. Good battery life (50 hrs on 3 C's), good all round lighting and no dark spots, the bulb collapses inside the main body for safe / smaller transporting. Just what I was looking for in fact.

Problem is, it's a US company and doesn't seem to be in any of the main dealers over here. The only one I can find is a company called Really Good Supplies http://www.reallygoodsupplies.co.uk/brunton-polaris-led-lantern-828-p.asp but I'm a bit put off because I hadn't heard of them before and the contact phone number seems to be a mobile.

So can anyone either vouch for Really Good Supplies OR know of an alternate UK supplier OR recommend another lantern that will do all of the above ?

Afraid I cannot help, have searched net for an hour to no avail. Did the magazine article not give any other suppliers?

Have not come across reallygoodsupplies before it might be a case of trusting them.

It is also annoying that US retailers can sell them for half the price of our one supplier. Good luck, let us now how you get on seems like a decent product.
