Why not consider a Dimplex coldwatcher, which is a small convector and so silent?
Used to be available in 500/1000 watt ratings, but both are the same physical size and weigh very little.

I use a convector heater, 2KW so it puts as much heat out as a fan heater but no fans so totaly silent. This ones from Tesco direct.

Convector is the way to do, takes a little bit longer to warm the tent up but you will only hear the occasional click as the thermostat kicks in & out.
They are bulkier than fan heaters, but very light.

Hi we have used a Convector oil filled radiator. Dead quiet
Plus an Outwell Fan heater. Bit louder but did not keep us awake.
5 degrees outside but lovely warm tent using both!
