Has anyone got/used/heard of one of these ?
I found one at the tip today - just as I was walking to the car I saw something a bit Cobb like and had a closer look. It is brand new, complete with instructions and is certainly similar to the Cobb ie it has a hole in the base with a funnel that rests on either gas or electric heat source, a heavy aluminium body, a grill rack and a domed lid. It also has a deep fryer insert shaped just like the Cobb moat. Paperwork says it was made in London by the Gourmette Company. It looks fantastic, cant wait to clean it up (it hardly even needs dusting !) and use it on the hob at home. It came with instructions and recipes but any personal advice welcome.
Ah, well I asked v nicely, even offered to pay and they were most obliging ! It was in the 'non-recyclable' section so they were probably just pleased to be rid of a bit less landfill !
