I've just brought the Wharfedale WDM7271 7in In Car DVD Dual Player from Argos - £116.39. It enables you to player either the same film through both screens, or two separate films - useful if your children can't agree on what film to watch.
I've not used the player on the move yet, but here are my initial impressions:
It is very quick and easy to set up.
The picture quality is good.
It runs of off the 12-volt car lighter & standard plug. The downside of this unit, is it doesn't have an internal battery, which isn't a problem until the sat nav battery runs low and needs charging up.
The sound from the unit is fairly quiet, and so I think headphones will be necessary - especially if travelling at speed.
The unit comes with a useful carry bag.
On the whole I think it is a very good unit for the price, and would recommend it to others.

For the price 2xthe Aldi one would be a good buy - and that way each kid gets to watch what they want rather than fighting over which film... of course if they would want to watch the same film at the same time you'd need two copies, but I think in my case that would be less often...
The Aldi one has a 3yr warranty and comes with the headrest case to convert it into a car DVD.
Christine
Not all twin screen dvd players play 2 different films most only have 1 player but 2 screens.
Err... thats what I said... if you want them to be able to watch two different things then most twin ones can't do this so you might be better off with two single ones.
Christine
sorry Christine I misunderstood I thought you were on about a twin screen player.
