Hi, I have been looking at chairs since last season now, as the normal camping ones we use do not have a foot bit, so you can't relax, and are not very comfy after a period of time. I am now pregnant and definatley need a good chair for my back, especially as we plan on going for 2 weeks when I will be 8 months!!
Any suggestions would be great, as looking at them on the net or magazines you just can't always tell.
I was looking for chairs that would be comfy, but what can pack down to a reasonable size, so ended up with two "Lafuma Champ Elips Padded" in plain green, they do recline and you can get an additional footrest, got the chairs end of season clearance for £30 each, ex-display although they still had the celophane wrapping on, and are in mint condition, they are a lot more comfy than the Tesco £6 chairs I was using!. other chairs I was considering were the Dukdalf Blues, nice chairs but a lot more bulky when folded than the Lafuma's. chairs are very hard to judge on the net, I found going to a camping shop, were I could try them out was the best way. got mine from Riversway at Preston.
Can highly recommend the Lafuma RSX if you have the space they are actually used as therapy chairs & recommended for back pain because of weightless feel in the back area when reclined. We only paid £58 for ours on Ebay.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
