Is there a connection that can be put onto a normal 13 amp plug, on normal household kitchen appliances, so that they can be used in our caravan. We took our microwave and kettle, away with us last weekend, but the electric kept tripping. This has happened once before on another site, we cannot have the tv on, if a kettle is boiling or if too many electrical things are in use!

Think this year is to follow old meet friends for 2014.
If you cant do someone a good turn, don`t do them a bad one,its nice to be nice you know, and little things mean much more later in life.

Camping appliances are generally lower wattage than domestic.  A camping kettle for instance may only be 700 Watt instead of 2KW for a domestic one.  Most camp sites supply bollards are rated at 16Amp.  In practice, your circuit breaker will probably trip at 10A.  As Pete says, count up the wattage on your appliances & keep the total below 2.3Kw to be on the safe side.  In general, you should aviod having 2 heating appliances running at once.
