We have never had one before so what do we need to know? Mostly away for just 3 nights, but maybe a week twice a year - cheap would be great! anyone seen any good offers??

I had a look at them yesterday and it is basically a bucket with a lid and a tiolet seat at £15 there is aslo a Kampa Khazi at £20 which is similar but propably more stable if you have kids. I already have chemical type one but have not used it because I think it will be too fiddly to clean. I f you do not need a seat I would just buy a bucket with lid from one of the cheap shops.

Check out ebay.
There are always several on there.
If you are lucky you may find one cheap and fairly local to you.

how about a luggable loo?
basically a tall bucket, with a 'real' toilet seat on the top!

We have just bought a Gelert portable toilet. Have used the Lugaloo, which has been good, but always worried someone might knock it over in the night! The Gelert is sturdy, neat and could almost pass as storage rather than a loo, it also has a little door at the back to store bags, wipes etc. You can buy special disposable sanitary bags for it. It is more expensive, just paid £29, but it looks like it will last a long time.Haven't seen any other posts on it, It is 30cm tall,

I'm on a mission regarding portable loos. I need one that's really narrow and most ads dont give dimensions. The portaloo I have is 32 cms wide so it needs to be smaller as it has to fit in a very small space - anyone willing to measure theirs and let me know if its narrower than this, I'd be very grateful! Even if it's a bucket with lid.
