If it's the inner bedroom just soak the affected are with a solution of Miltons to kill the mildew spores then you can wash the fabric in the bath and dry it outdoors to blow some fresh air through it
Hiya, I have had a similar problem although it was with my car because it had been lying since before xmas as I have had a broken foot. Anyhow to get to the point anyone I spoke to recommended vinegar for getting rid of mildew.

Also, tip from those cleaning queens 'Kim & Aggie' ('How clean is your house' fame)- WHITE VINEGAR - rather than the stuff you splash on your chips!! (the caramel colouring could discolour your fabric), & white vinegar is, according to them, cheaper - never noticed myself, despite the amount I buy for cleaning, especially the windows & mirrors at home!!
