We (me, Valbarley and OHs) took two dutch ovens along camping last week
They are brilliant!
We used them everyday over the campfire and ate better than we would at home
Some dinners we had were:
Leg of lamb stew slow cooked with mint
Pork with apple and cider
Suffolk meatball bolognaise
Beef strogonoff
Salmon and tuna steaks with savory rice
Sausage casserole
Chicken philadelphia wrapped in bacon
We also had bread every night, parmesan and sundried tomato, strong white and a foccacia
Here's the lamb cooking:
Here's the parmesan bread we made:
Valbarley made a tripod which was brilliant for hanging the oven off:
I would definately recommend one for cooking with

OH made one of these with the idea of making a swinging barbeque, that we once saw when visiting friends in Holland, it's still sat in the shed, unfortunatley it's on a bigger scale than the one pictured, bet they're fantastic.
The one he made is designed to swing over a fire that he planned to set into a tractor tyre rim, hmm bit too heavy for taking camping.

Brilliant,
And great for a hard day with the heretics too for anyone who's in the Spanish Inquisition.

Yep the bread was made in it - we felt very proud of our bread I have to say lol
I bought mine off ebay, from this seller http://sports.shop.ebay.co.uk/items/Camping__W0QQ_catrefZ1QQ_flnZ1QQ_sacatZ16034QQ_ssnZ20Q2d20mobileQ2deyesQQ_trksidZp3911Q2ec0Q2em282
Its a 5.1ltr one, I thought I should get a bigger one but this is plenty big enough
They are brilliant, I use it in the oven at home too - cooks the food better/quicker IMO
