Their self lighting charcoal is the cheapest i've come across anywhere, I paid £5.30 for the same size in morrisons today. also the lighting fluid was £2.99 in morrisons and b&Q.
I like the look of the storage box
I could store all the lighter bits and pieces in there permanently and maybe use it as bench seat in the tent too. Seems like a good price for this .
It dismantles into a box 2.5' square by 3" deep. I keep the legs assembeld as they can be stored across the car boot. Very nice to use and it can be used as a hearth. Good to warm your toes underneath. You can cook for four families on this.
One tip: the pan is very large and takes a lot of charcoal. I created a mini hearth within it using house bricks. They help radiate the heat and don't use as much fuel.
Thanks for that scaleyf - I don't know why I give myself the grief but I know the OH will love it once he's got past the WHAT ON EARTH HAVE YOU BOUGHT NOW!! stage
I have been waiting for these and now don't know how or if I can get one a) its on a Monday when I will be at work and b) the nearest store to me is only a small one and may not stock them
Does Lidl ever put things by for people??? Worth a try perhaps?
There's certainly a knack to flipping your burgers!
Because the grill is suspended, it will swing unless you hold in place . This can be done by holding one of the three chains , a towel. If you use the house bricks you can lower the grill on to it , do your flips or serving and then hoist it back up.
I ten to hoist the grill up, away from the heat. Then hold a chain do my flips etc and the nlower back to the heat. The appliance of science
