We have used our electric fan heater before on EHU with no problems apart from it breaking.
Have fun on your first trip.

Hi we've always used our fan heater, We're booked to go to Whitewell in Tenby and have just been informed after paying the whole pitch fee up front that if we get caught using electricl heaters we will be dealt with by management! i'm not a happy bunny as my gas heater doesnt work in my new van and i have a toddler.
Have a great holiday, you'll be hooked, we love it!!

Check the campsites policy on their electric supply. Most are 16 Amp per unit, though I've been on some where they limit you to 5 Amp. We use a 2KW fan heater with no problem. Just remember to avoid having two heating appliances on at the same time.

I've never had a single problem on the pitches I have been on. I just take care not to use a hairdrier or anything that heats up at the same time. There's nothing to worry about, just go for it and enjoy the extra benefits that EHU brings.

You should not have had a problem. Ours has 2 heat settings, 1 KW & 2 KW. 8 Amp should have been enough for a 1KW heater.

Just for future reference 1KW should take no more than 4.6 amp unless the cable supplying the mains to your van is to small or long causing volt drop and then the current would go up a little.
