Does anybody know if it is possible to get tomtom software which takes into account you are towing a caravan?
I ask this as I ended up driving over a B road through Snowdonia! The road was completely unsuitable. I had a map and would have gone back another route but was again told this was no good either and kind warden told me a better A routed journey home.
If I could tell my Sat Nav (I have TomTom One) I am towing a caravan this would be very helpful.
North Wales is the worst for satnavs. Take no notice, Use the A55/other A roads until you're somewhere near, then switch it on! I've done exactly the same thing! A stupid shortcut over a mountain pass! I'm so glad I wasn't towing at the time.
Seems ok most other places, and you can put in 1 'via point', which will take it onto a road you actually want to use...eventually.
