I have acquired the black bag type solar camp shower and cannot think where I could hang it as it is rather heavy when full. Any ideas and are they any good?
Sorry if I am repeating a topic!

I've placed one on the roof of the car and its worked ok, but our roof is quite high, we measured the temp at 40 degrees which is plenty warm enough, left longer on our black roof would have been even hotter.

Hi - we have one of these and have had varied success with it. We use it mainly for rinsing off after a day on the beach. Laid out on the back shelf of the car( which has a black interior) it warms during the day to at least tepid temperature and we simply lay it on the car roof to operate it for rinsing ourselves off (Car is a Zafira so it is a reasonable height for this operation).

We have not been able to find a hanging point anywhere in the tent or outhouse and I would be worried about straining tent poles, so the only thing I can think of on site would be if you were pitched near a handy tree!

You can get metal framed utility tents that could probably take the weight of it too, if you were planning to make it your bathroom in a desire to get away from dependency on sites with facilities. This was our original plan but the water was never hot enough (UK summers being what they are!). So we have bought a Zodi stove top shower that has a proper stand and works off the 2 ring cooker.

We gave up and bought the 12 volt/ battery shower for £9.99 from maplin. The solar bag goes on the car bonnet then we tip the water into the fire bucket and away you go.

Clip it to the roof of your car or a tree.

Thats reminded me of the shower we made years ago for our budgies. A bucket with small holes all over the base and as you say fallenangel fill it from the kettle. When the bucket was full the water came out pretty quickly then itslowed up as it emptied - getting old - forgot about it. Would have saved the price of the solar shower!

we hang ours in a tree, but remember just because it can hold 20 litres doesn't mean you have to fill it completely up. Put in as little or as much as you need for a shower. We also don't bother with solar energy...not hot enough. We boil a pan of water and pour it into the bag then top up with cold, up to about 5 litres which gives a fairly decent shower. i keep thinking that 5 litres might be able to be strung up inside some sort of utility tent but it would have to be steel framed i think.
