I've been considering buying a trailer as we just can't fit everything we need for our camping trips into the car & roofbox without it all being dangerously full. Someone has a 7 month old Erde 122 with flat cover, spare wheel & support, roof bars & jockey wheel and is offering me the lot for £300.

Halfords have the trailer for £250 but will give me it for £225 as the only one left was built up just 2 days ago for display. I'd still need the cover at £40 (£105 if I go for the higher one for more space) and if I want the spare wheel it'd set me back another £43 on it's own, another £12 for the support. Don't really know if the jockey wheel bothers me much but that'd be £48 and the roof bars are £119. We'd thought of using them so that the kids can have their bikes when we go camping.

What do you think? Good deal or should I see if they'll accept less? Hubby thinks we should buy a brand new trailer as it'll have a year's guarantee - but will it?

I would have a look on EBAY.

These are both 100 quid cheaper and come with a hard top

Not knowing where you live I cannot tell if they are any good to you, but there are plenty of others to choose from.

seems to me that the stuff new comes to over £500 so at £300 its not far from half price...make an offer they can only say no...and then if you still want it then pay full price. I always kick myself when someone accepts my first offer and i wish id offered less , they may want the cash qiuck too so worth a try .
