It holds pressure and it has a spare set of seals but it does need a new mantle, will have to purchase one then I can try it out.

Am proud I spotted this one.

well done i used to love a good rumage at auto jumbles i use to get dragged around with the ex and his dad they were doing an old alvis up i spent many an hour at em.

great lights .i have 2 best lights you can buy. probably can get mantles from willis n bates halifax 01422361228 last tel,number i have . mine are vapalux but i think the mantle is the same.nice find

That is a bargain., I had 5 restored Tilley lamps plus a few spare bits and pices and sold them all for £100 and I thought that was cheap. One was an early Guardsman Tilley one was a 246A and the other 3 were 246b's.

I got a brand new vapalux with spares for ten pounds late last year. This year I have bought a bicycle trailer for light weight camping for twenty pounds a set of alli stacking pans for two pounds a Trangia ex army stove for six pounds
