Just bought a 4.5kg Calor refill today at my local Hassocks hardware store for £15.09

= 298 grammes per £

I was advised that their price for a 2.75kg C Gaz 907 is £19.02

= 144 grammes per £

Calor gives twice as many bacon sarnies to the £ then.

All true, but you can't get it outside the UK. Gas bottles & electric sockets - two things the EU could & should have standardised years ago. Grrr.
