I have just bought some rock pegs in case I need those. They are the ones with a green plastic top but I have a couple of queries on how to use them now that I have had a closer look at them :
1. Does the guy rope attach to the lip of the plastic top? It seems it could slip off.
2. How do you extract the peg? If I used a normal extractor in the hole on the plastic top, I'm sure it would break off. If I used a claw hammer, I'm not sure how to get enough grip if the peg is flush to the ground and plastic top.
1. The guy rope goes around the "nail" underneath the plastic bit, it shouldn't slip off.
2. Don't bang them in so far. Use a claw hammer to get them out, placing the claw between the top of the nail and the plastic bit - if you stick it under the plastic bit it could break it off.

Thanks for the advice. If they are not to be banged in too far, presumably they can be a hazard to bare feet which is one of the advantages of Delta pegs being flat to the ground.
I assume that the hole in the plastic top is of no use - it certainly doesn't look strong enough at the angle it is to be used with a peg extractor.
