Bought this tent from Go outdoors last week and put it up in back garden for first time only to discover a small piece of repair tape(inch long) in the bedroom groundsheet. i peeled it back to reveal a small tear in groundsheet. Looked underneath groundsheet and found repair tape in exact same location.
Has anyone had similar discoveries or have i been sold a company seconds or 2nd hand tent? Cant swap tent coz i know they are now sold out.
Any advice please
Totally unacceptable, contact Go outdoors and read them the riot act. You bought a new tent, not a manufacturers second. At the very least I'd expect some money back and a repair.

Cool campers use Delta Pegs.
The happiest people aren't the ones who have everything they are the ones who make the most of everything they have
Thats really bad. Take it back and complain like mad. If they cannot get you the same tent then ask for a discount on a similar spec tent they do have instock to make up for your inconvenience.
No harm in asking.

found a "stress" mark in our brand new BL6 ( which had been in storage for most of the spring ) almost like a hole-in-the-making - reported to the shop ( an "outdoor" supplier ) and they refused point blank to take appropriate action.
Now I dont want Black, list them but neither do I want to get my fingers burn,ed
They offered a refund - as they are not buying any more bulk stock of outwells - but what good is a refund - I cant buy a replacement from another supplied for anywhere near the original price paid to this retailer - All this after the sales guy in the shop told me that I could rest assured that the product had a "lifetime" guarantee ! HUH
There have been a few on ebay sold through nearly new tents saying that they are company 2nds and have a patch on the SIG. I'm think these tents are sold out everywhere now. I bought one from Wild Day yesterday but it's sold out there now (hopefully mine is being delivered tomorrow so I will check it carefully). Go Outdoors ought to be offering you some money back or a replacement with a similar tent, but if you want to keep this one, maybe Vango could advise how you can repair it properly so that it is fully waterproof.
Finally exchanged my Icarus 500 for a new one yesterday.
Got to say Go Outdoors were superb throughout, allowing me to use the suspect tent all this time with the guarantee they would exchange the tent if they could source a new one OR give me a full refund if not.
