Now I've bought the Coleman Family Cookset I need a bigger cooker instead of my suitcase type and backpackers pocket stove. Don't want any running off 904/907 cylinders which narrows choice down.
Can anyone recommend Coleman stoves? New foldup one and single ring + grill running off propane seem ok. I will be using a folding camp kitchen and probably the outhouse utility.
We have a Coleman Dual fuel twin burner. They are an excellent peice of kit, more powerful than gas stove and last a lifetime with care. They run on unleaded, oe Aspen 4t as well as the Coleman fuel which is more expensive. No need to carry large gas bottle.
They go well with the cookset which we also have.

We are newbies having only been out once but we bought a duel fuel coleman from our local ad trader and I found it excellent easy to use would defintley recommend
If you do a search for Aspen you should find lots of threads about it, but if you aren't near a stockist you can use unleaded and then periodically use Coleman fuel. That's what we do.

I bought some Aspen recently to try in my stove & lamp (give them a bit of a birthday), it does seem to work well but I won't be using it too often, cost me £15.55 for 5L at my local stockist (ouch). I'll stick mainly to unleaded I think.
Can't use larger gas cylinders such as Gaz or Calor for safey reasons due to where I live. Need to store camping gear in storage room in my "sheltered housing" flat in a large complex. Dual fuel stoves seems best option as if I use u/l fuel I can put it in my car at end of camp season.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
