That is my thread too, Linda! I'm on the verge of ordering one but am just wondering if there are disadvantages to being higher up.
On the subject of hoods, we had one right hand and one left hand zip, and the hoods ended up on the same side - I think I must have done something wrong, but I can't think what :-S

I can't quite visualise this, but the connecting zips can either be between you or at the edges, depending on the design. I know that if I zip my two Astrals together the zips end up in the centre front and centre back.
