In fact thinking about it ( here she goes again) I'm sure some enterprising person could come up with some kind of on-site green loo where people could use some kind of in- tent loo, AKA bucket, with something like compostable cat litter, sawdust, leaf mould etc have a collection point and make lovely compost to sell the following year.
That would score green points. : )

Sorry to bang on about this, but surely people shouldn't be putting bags of pee soaked cat litter into campsite bins
Assuming fortnightly refuse collections that could add up to heck of a lot of smelly packages in the bin area. I suppose the solution would be to open up a large nappy and dispose of in the nappy bins in the site loo's. (Assuming that it catches every thing )
I suppose you could take it home and put it on the compost heap, supposed to be a very good compost activator : )

I think it would be a lot less smelly as it is contained in a bag than rotting food, or dog's dirt, after all that's where you put the poop bags, none of the sites I have been on have had a seperate bin for soiled nappys except perhaps in the ladies.

Personally if only being used for wee wee's, and on a proper site I don't see the need for the cat litter, just more faff imo however could be the solution when wild camping using biodegradable bags also, prob a bit nicer to bury!

I used a nappy bucket with lid in France and everyone seemed to do the same and get up early for a 'sit down' after emptying and cleaning out the bucket! A few drops of Zoflora seem a good idea.

Of course I don't only do it for the 5 weeks in France!
