Hi all, we are due to go on our first camping trip this year on 26/07 and as the weather is hit and miss at the moment I was wondering what people do to stop it getting muddy outside the tent entrance. I was thinking of useing tarpaulin or buying some eva mats but wondered what everyone else did. Thanks 17

Hi, we use a outdoor plastic doormat, the open type, then a cheap mat inside works for us

We also use a rubber door mat, the type with open holes, and inside a cheap carpet runner for taking wet/muddy shoes off on, if the runner ends up too manky we chuck it away at the end of the trip.

Old cardboard boxes laid at the door to soak up the water, put the mat on that if you want to but cardboard don't half soak up the wet
