how much will it cost me for a gas bottle for a 2 ring cooker

It depends !

You can pay between about £20 and £70 for a 2 ring stove (depending on features like do you want a grill too?  legs to stand on?)

A gas bottle again depends on what you want.  Calor gas bottles are cheapest and also the cheapest way to buy gas but not available in Europe if touring there is important to you - if you want to do that you need Camping Gaz which is more expensive.

£15-£30 to buy the first bottle and from then on you pay for a refil (swap in/ swap out) which is about a tenner for Camping Gaz and £5 for the same weight Calor gas.

You'll need a regulator too - £5-£10 and which one you get depends if you're using calor or camping gas as the bottles have different fittings.

Some people have had success in buying empty calor gas bottles from the local dump for £2 or so.  Then you only need pay for the regulator and the refil.

I seem to recall paying around £20 for a 4.5kg calor gas (the smaller one - ideal for cars with nor much space) bottle which was full with gas.

As for regulators. most of the larger stoves these days come supplied with their own regulator .. just make sure that you've got the right regulator for whichever bottle you're going to get eg camping gaz stoves are going to come with a camping gaz regulator - no good for calor gas bottles!
