I bought one of those it was 12.99 tho from B&M it is exactly the same as the one sold by go-outdoors for 24.99 (but its branded kingfisher), as we cant use ehu either on the site we booked.

They are only for outdoor use due to burnt gas being given off inside your unit.  Be careful, carbon monoxide is a silent sleepy killer.

I bought one of these from B&M Hucknall, a couple of years ago, I used it in a tent, and rather stupidly popped out to the loo, leaving the wife and kids in the tent with the heater. 5 minutes later, I came back to see the tent lighting up orange and the wife yelling. I ran to the tent, and saw the heater bursting gas ball flames in to the air. I  threw the heater out on to the grass, where it caught fire. It went out when I managed to turn the gas off.

So I'd say they were a death trap, don't buy one of these especially from B&M.£7.99 might look cheap, but add the price of a burnt down tend, and heaven forbid, funeral costs and theres better deals out there !

Am I being over dramatic? well it could have burnt my family to death, so no I don't think I am. If you want heating in a tent, then EHU, or a Black Cat/Blue Cat type are the only safe options. It probably easier just to get better sleeping bags and more layers. Please don't buy one of these for your tent, they should be taken of the market.

To be fair to B&M, go outdoors and (2 small camping retailers in the north west area) who sell this 'type' of heater under different brand names; on the box AND on the instructions it is sold as an OUTDOOR heater.

To use it inside a tent when the instructions quite clearly tell you not to tbh is silly. But then again what bloke does read instructions oh hum.. ;-)

(we were going to use ours in a utility tent well away from the main tent)
