Off to France on Wednesday. EHU is only 6amps. So my question is how many amps does a travel iron use roughly? I haven't bought one yet and was just wondering if there's any point if I cant use it!
Would look at packaging but don't have one yet!! Just wondering if it's worth driving half an our to the nearest shops to buy on.
Really don't want to do ironing on holiday but going for 10 days and need to save space so will have to take less clothes and do washing .I never iron at home!!!! Kids won't know what the hell I'm doing!
Lots of campsites provide an ironing board and will loan an iron for free or just a few pence/cents. It is obviously better to use a 'full' wattage iron if possible as it gets a lot hotter. Travel irons are often less than 1kW and do not really get hot enough to do the ironing properly. According to my wife, I wouldn't know of course.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
