Back from B and M busy vacuum bagging anything I can lay my hands on! managed to get 2 sleeping bags, a king sized quilt andflat king sized sheet, 4 pillows and 4 bath sheets in one 36 x 48 inch bag - the wonders or vac bags!!!!!!!!!!! now 36 x 6 inches compacted down
Erm...I may sound dumb ( more than likely!) but when you get to the campsite and you de-vac the gear how do you re-vac it??? Do you have to take a vac with you? I want to get a hand held chargeable vac as aldi and lidl have a deal next week for my tent carpet and also to hoover out the bugs that manage to get in!! I love a bargain and couldn't leave Aldi tonight wihtout buying a 'camping' thing - LED UFO light for 4.99!! I wanted the 5 shelf camping cupboard at £24.99 but when I rang my OH I decided against it!!! We are going to need a transit van if I carry on!
------------- It always rains on tents. Rainstorms will travel thousands of miles, against prevailing winds for the opportunity to rain on a tent.
Don't have B&M stores near me!!! where else can I buy these vacuum bags? they sound great, need to make more room in my car, the dog's getting a bit squashed in the boot!!!!
This is going to be our first camping trip this year, I have got a Coleman Weathermaster L, 2 Sunngas burners, couple of lanterns, thats about it, lol.
The nearest B&M is in Newport, 15miles away from me in Bristol. Will it be worth the journey or am I likely to find similar prices in gooutdoors.co.uk etc ?
I know I need an electric hook up, some airbeds, sleeping bags, kitchen stand, saucepans, etc etc.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
