We are going camping in October and taking children so we want to take the portable tv.

Have have read on the web site where we are staying that we just plug in to their amplifier hook up.

So do we just need the normal aerial plug thing .Help!!!

Also is the signal ok using this hook up.

I suppose the signal will depend upon the site , you need a long coaxial cable to connect your tv , we had a connection where we just stayed , it was fine.

If the site are offering a TV connection it should be OK. It'll be amplified to feed each post. You just need 12v or 240v via EHU then to power the set, depending on the options it's got.

We were always fine in our TV/camping days.

If reception isn't good when you connect up, complain to the site office.

Beware having it on too loud/too late, doesn't always go down well with your fellow campers 17

The cable on the CC sites has the same connector on each end, the one that fits into the televison.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013

We took a TV extension reel type thing, like a power reel but co-ax cable, just in case the service pole was a little bit away. Then a couple of male/female plugs, just in case.

With regard to the noise , I always checked the sound whilst on a loo trip , stood by closest neighbour to see if they could hear tv , would've been really embarrassed had they had to 'enjoy' the film we were watching.17

Thanks so much all

Will not have it on late thought we would take it for the kids to watch other than that we won't bother.

But it is good to know what we need.

again thanks
