is there a stacking camp kitchen like this in stock anywhere?stacking camp kitchen like this

The only 2 places I've seen it online are out of stock. It looks more sturdy than the concertina type which I don't trust. and with v. little space we can't fit in a large item.

Your right not to trust the concertina type stand, they are very rickety, i wouldn't give ours away as i didn't want to feel responsible for anyones accident so i scrapped it

I bought one from Waudbys like this one, very sturdy, up in seconds and doesn't take up much room, the little basket at the side is handy as well for utensils

The concertina ones are OK if you use the struts on the back (and if you can move your fingers fast enough not to catch them when collapsing! )

I'm not convinced that stacking kitchen would be any more stable to be honest.

I also have the concertina type and I dont like it either.
Just waiting for end of season reductions(I was always an optimist) when I will replace it.

I've just bought a Kampa Commander from Waudby's.co.uk. Absolutely superb, folded flat, great carry bag, sturdy when up.  Incorporated larder, utensil area, etc

We have this one pretty much the same thing. I got mine this year off e bay and I love it.  Its very sturdy and you can use each tier seperatley if you like (so you have 3 little tables). Well worth the money imho

I've got a stacking one, it's about 30 years old and looking a bit weathered now, but it's still very sturdy and stable. I take it apart and use two tiers to cook sitting down and use the other as a portable bbq stand, or a low table.

Thanks so much for the replies & where to find one. and glad to hear it could last 30 years!

I like the idea of taking them apart for low down cooking shelves for weekend camping and full height for a proper kitchen for a weeks camping.

I might be tempted by Keely's kitchen one day if we get a trailer or bigger car. For now will go for the stacking one

Looks good, but I must admit I like a zip-up surround to keep the creepy-crawlies out.

Spiders added to dishes give them that special camping taste.17
