Can anyone advise is it possible to run one of these off a large propane bottle that I use with the Cadac barbeque? Was away this week and the Black Cat was going through the small canisters like nobodys business.

Yes used it in the tent. Gave off pretty good heat and made the tent much more cosy. Turned it off before going to bed. Didn't notice any fumes whilst in use apart from the usual newness burning off during the first day or so. If I could get it to run of the big propane bottle it would be much cheaper to use.

Just got one and will be using it in a couple of weeks but only got the small canisters which they say run for about 5 hours. If you have it on the 2 flame setting does your heater go out? Mine has to be between 2 and 4 setting to remain lit?

The bulk convertor appears to connect directly from a gas bottle to the appliance, using the US version of a POL fitment at the bottle end.

Does anyone know if US POL fitments are the same as our Calor Propane POL fitments ?
