I'm in East Kent & there seems to be very few camping shops around. Apart from the Millets & Blacks of this world can anyone recommend some camping shops that have easy parking in Kent area ... Perhaps even Essex as have to go through Dartford Tolls on a regular basis.
Not really interested in the small high street affair but the big warehouse types where lots to browse.
Im sure there is a cotswold outdoor store in Maidstone? Or a Go Outdoors in Basildon and Harlow which are both in Essex but they may be a bit far for you.

I believe my username may have something to do with radio call sign or something .... apologies but i have no idea what your talking about & wasnt aware when i chose it
Definately camping & general. I live in canvey and have tried loads of camping shops including thenew go outdoors in basildon. but this shop wins all the time.
the only problem is you spend to much money. Went in last week to get insect repellant for kids for our trip next week and came out having spent £50 on some new pegs, and gadgets that we will probably never use.
There's a fairly decent sized camping place on Canvey Island I seem to recall, (I think it is), but either way here's the link for a huge place in Essex anyhoo and it has a Basildon area code so is somewhere hereabouts
But then again you'll have the round trip toll for the Dartford crossing to add any bargains ya might get?
Howsomever, if you're coming this side of the Crossing anyhoo and want to make the trip worthwhile, there's also a Decathlon at Lakeside now too on the retail bit not the main shopping centre bit. My hubby loves having a wander around there and came back with two pairs of shorts he didn't really need t'other day. Gawd knows what he'd actually gone there for in the first place but he enjoyed himself
If you just do a googly thingy though, (as I've just done), and I just typed in 'Camping suppliers in Essex' you'll be amay-zzzzed how many options come up! Daresay it'd do the same for your side of the river too?
Happy hunting anyhoo. Oh and btw, that Camping linky thingy states on it's website that is has 50.000 square feet of display space so it MUST be humungous and it also refers to itself as being an Aladdin's Cave....sounds lovely eh? I love Aladdin's Caves me
Camping International, Gillingham
Great big store in old cinema on multiple floors. Decent selection of pitched tents and plenty of well priced bits on ground floor.
WM Camping just south of Herne Bay
Outside pitched selection, average indoor bits and bobs. Not the friendliest of outfits IMO.
KGLC in Otford, Sevenoaks
Limited selection of pitched tents and small bits shop but decent pricing and friendly.
Over the river...
Decathlon, Lakeside
It's Decathlon isn't it? Own brand, cheap and fairly cheerful
Go Outdoors, Basildon & Harlow
Keen pricing and great for outdoor clothes. surprisingly good
AllWeather, Basildon
Outside pitched selection of mainly Vango & Outwell. V.limited inside store for bits. BUT if they have it this IS the cheapest shop for tents normally.
Sussex? SK Camping, S.Godstone
Our favourite bits store. Big selection at fair if not cheap prices but lovely staff. Decent outside pitched selection to boot.
Hope that help
