Can anyone recommend a decent 12v shower unit.
Have a small Romahome (no shower) and was thinking of buying a Toilet / shower tent and rigging up a unit that runs off 12v or batteries with one of those solar shower bags to warm the water. Are the ones in Maplins any good?
Yep the Maplins ones are fine. We use a solar bag to heat water if the weather is with us or more often we use the big stock pot that we travel with to heat water on the hob and then drop the submersible pump into the stockpot to use the water.
You'll struggle to hang a shower bag from most tents and you'll also struggle to get the submersible pump into the bag and be sure that it isn't running dry.
A fire bucket makes a good water holder as well if you heat water with kettles/saucepans etc.
We have this style Shower will do what it says on the packet. Runs on either car lighter socket or D batteries. Use fire bucket as warm water container and poundland toddler padding pool as shower tray. For keeping clothes and towel dry while you shower a poundland pop up laundry basket by the door will hold your clothes and towel until you need them.
