Hi

You will need a proper unit with RCD protection like this one. This is a good price for the 3 sockets. You can also get ones with a singular socket or 3 in a row.

You should avoid the cheap ones from Ebay as they don't have the correct protection and some campsites won't allow them

Hope this helps

Make sure that the one you purchase has a 30Ma RCD the triangular one has an 80Ma RCD and doesn't afford the degree of protection required for equipment used outdoors.

This is the one we have and have never had any problems. If they aren't suitable for outdoor equipment why do they sell them in the camping shops???

"This is the one we have and have never had any problems. If they aren't suitable for outdoor equipment why do they sell them in the camping shops???"
You wont have a problem untill you have a low current earth leakage less than 80 ma when your RCD won't trip.Anything higher than 30Ma can prove fatal, there is one saving grace however, that the site RCD's must be 30Ma so you will trip the supply post.Any earth leakage above 30 Ma will trip the supply post so you may as well not have one!
A lot of the ones sold by camping shops do have 30Ma trips.
The 16th edition supply regs require all equipment used outdoors to be protected by a 30 Ma RCD and all caravans are now fitted with the required RCD,unfortunately there were no specific requirements for tents just a recommendation that the regs applicable to caravans be implemented.
As I have said before if you are going to purchase an EHU then safety should be the first consideration not the ease of inserting plugs.
Having said all that there should be no problem if used on a campsite as their protective equipment is subject to a full inspection and test every year, but if used in the home as an extension socket outdoors there is a significant risk unless your property complies with the 17th edition regs.
