I think this rule only aplies to Caravan awnings, as using an eco matt under a ZiG/SiG would not make little difference if any at all, to the grass below, I did pick some up from Winfields, end of season clearance last November, so got it quite cheap, various types around, the one I got is called AeroTex marketed by Quest, it is made from Jute and come in 8ft widths only but almost any length, it seems quite good so I will use it in the porch area etc.
