If you are useing a ehu you can use a 240v tv. I have a LG 17" 2 scart outputs for dvd freeview etc . I have a cheaper lcd in the back of my van with built in dvd, but the piture quality is no way as good as the LG------------- Roughing it in style at Calloose caravan and camping holiday park nr St Ives.(seasonal pitch)

Asda have an Onn freeview lcd tv for £99 they also have them with built in DVD for about £130 iirc. The ones with the DVD were not in stock a few weeks ago however. They do not run off 12 volts and have the PSU built in with 240volts to the set so the only way to run them from 12 volts will be through an inverter. If you always use EHU then it is not an issue.

I use an alba 16" from argos £99, neat and small and fits in an overhead locker easily.
Has freeview built in but I usually use satellite.
If you want slim don't get one with the dvd built in, there quite a bit larger.

I use a 19" because they are better value than the smaller ones, there is a bigger range available and they give a better picture. I measured the TV shelf in the van and picked one that fitted. Ours has freeview and a DVD built in, got it from Currys for about £150.
However, if you want to run it on 12volt you will probably be better off with a small one. Obviously on 12volt, the smaller they are the less battery power they will use. All depends how long you want to run it on battery for.
Probably best to have freeview built in as analogue is being switched off now.

There is a search button at the top. Enter something like "12 volt tv, or portable tv"! There is no link. Cheers!

Hi Al.
The one to go for is the Avtex brand, ideal IMHO at 10.4", although like others have said, they tend to be more expensive than say 15" units, although when space is at a premium smaller is often better, the Avtex models run of both Mains/12v, but these days that is not important, in the absence of EHU, a cheap inverter will run a TV of 12V, personaly I would try and get hold of an analogue model, and hook it up to a satellite receiver, as the terrestrial Freeview signal is not as available as what satellite is, especialy on camp sites.
Andy.
