We use a couple of self inflating mats and find it can be a bit slippy and even more so when you add a slippy sleeping bag
Sooooooooo..... I bought some of those anti slip drawer liners and put them between each - problem solved
Tried it this weekend and even though our pitch was on an angle they never budged

A roll of antislip material is so useful. Put new coleman stove&grill on kitchen stand - fold up/down type with spaces between "rungs" not mesh. Risk of slipping so put antislip between stand and stove. Worked brilliantly.

We put a staple through the mat to stop it slipping and got round the problem of having to inflate it.
