We have recently changed our motorhome and it doesn't have a TV aerial. Thinking about getting a Status 530 directional antenna as we had the flying saucer type (Status 315) in our last van and it wasn't brilliant. Has anyone got a 530 and is it a success? Any advice or alternative suggestions would be wonderful.
We recently changed vans and the 'new to us' has a 530.
So far it has not let us down. We recently revisited a site on which the old 315 would not work.
We used to take a mini high gain and a pole.
The 530 was pointed in the general direction of every one elses and worked no problem.
We are using the same tv and freeview box by the way.
I think however that if my van didnt have an aerial at all, I would dig the mini high gain and pole out of the shed and use that!

Our 530 works pretty weel wherever we go, but do remember to retract the thing fully and set the aerial horizontally at the lowest point when in transit. Friend of mine now has a permanantly cranked mast from driving with his status still in the extended position
