Hi, new to this so after some info,

can the montana 6 be put away with the kids room still inside?

will it fit back in the bag?

due to take it out for the first time in a few weeks and dont want to fold it up twice!!

 

Also will a builders tarp do as a fotprint ground sheet, i cant find an outwell one anywhere!!

 

any info greatly recieved

    morning there are usually loads of outwell stuff i.e foot prints and carpets on ebay also look on  this site for the for sale site camping out doors they have some great deals ,also lot of end of season sales about,as for you kids room i can't see it being a problem as they are only like the bedroom sections except coloured i would follow the instructions on your tent

best of luck finding a foot print. Im looking for an extension, foot print and carpet for the montana and have spent about 8 hours over the last week checking different websites, links, ebay, price comparissions etc and they are all sold out.

Yes the kids room just replaces the standard one like-for-like so no problem with folding it away within the tent....however a slight word of caution the kids room seems to only fit the newer models of Monty 6 in terms of toggle attachments etc.  We have the original Monty 6 which only has toggles,not the newer clips.  We could get it up the 1st time by a bit of juggling/tying in but I've then sewn on some extra toggles/elastic (John Lewis) in the right places so now it fits properly.

The footprint for the original Monty 6 is just a large rectangle of tarp anyway (nothing special but fab when putting away as basejof the tent stays clean & dry)- so if you can find a tarp of the correct size or a couple to fit then job done.

I leave my kids room attached to my M6 and haven't found any issues with putting it away. ( Still takes me 3 or 4 attempts! )
