Hi
can anyone tell me if there is such a thing as an awning heater which resembles the table top version for patios... On a recent weekend away my husband and i noticed a group of friends inside their awning happily drinking and chatting away with one of these heaters in the centre of the table. At first glance we thought "how dangerous" but after a second look they looked so warm and cosy inside, whilst the outside temperature was quite cold.

I believe it is just a normal table top patio heater, that is what we have used in the past, also another good thing is an electric heater under the table as does not take up space for the beer or wine!! also you are usingthe sites electricity and not your own gas.If you pay for electric hook up - us it

These patio heaters are very safe, they have a built in safety device that , as soon as it detects any movement through the base of the unit, it will cut the gas out, the disadvantage of this is when the heater is on the table and you accidently knock it or put your glass down with a little too quickly it will cut out.

If your are using EHU I would just use an electric blow heater, they circulate heat really well

On dragons den recently there was a chap who had come up with a outdoor patio style electric heater that even if it got wet in th rain it remained safe to use with no risk of it electrocuting you! It was very clever and I was right impressed. Did anyone else see it? I don't think the dragons invested in it tho which I was suprised about as I thought they would snap his hands off. I wonder how he's getting on with it as it was great idea.
