At present we have a sunngas flat single burner but we need to get a double burner so I can cook properly. Are there any which shine out over the others or are they all much of a muchness. Are the grills worth it and is it better to have legs or to buy a separate stand?
Me again, we've just been through this dilemma ourselves, hopefully this is the last bit of camping gear we need!!! Just bought a CampingGaz Laredo 3 burner no grill.
We decided that the only thing we'd cook on the grill would be cheese on toast and it wasn't worth the extra, the Hob has 2 big burners and one little one which I reckon will be more use than a grill, all that said it only arrived this morning so have yet to field test the theory!
We've been using a 2 burner with grill borrowed from my uncle, on 3 week long trips we've never even lit the grill.
As for legs I'd go for a camp kitchen, but thats a whole thread on it's own.

We have a perfectly good double burner with grill up in the loft, but always end up taking a couple of those flat single burners. They are much more versatile. Most of the time we just have one set up, and then just use the second one as and when we need to. They are perfectly safe to use on a normal table, and if the weather is not good for cooking outside we can just take one inside the tent, at least for that first early morning cup of tea anyway!
We even took one to the beach last week to cook hotdogs to warm up the kids after they had come in from body-boarding!
They may be a bit more expensive to run in terms of the small cylinders, but I still prefer that to having the danger of gas tubes to trip over.
I've got the Grillogaz nouveau. It's got two rings and a grill that works independantly. There is another griddle type model that's on the market that only allows you to grill or cook, not both at the same time.
Can really recommend it, and I prefer to do decent cooking when away, so find the cooker along with a partygrill as absolute essentials.
Our cooker had legs but i found them a bit to small and found myself bending over the cooker, so i unscrewed them and put it on a camp kitchen. much better.
