Not done it personally but can't see it being a major problem. I'm in the process of re-designing my caravan kitchen to fit a fridge and oven.

Things you will need to watch are the size of the unit - width, depth and height, the weight of the appliance and its power consumption - tripping the electric on site won't make you very popular!!
Another thing to think about is that it may have an effect on its value when you come to sell - maybe store the oven so that it can be put back in again at a later date?

I'm sure someone more experienced will be along to offer advice.

It is recommended that the freezer is allowed to stand for a period of time before it is switched on. I have seen timescales of 1 to 24 hours being quoted, 1 hour if it was transported upright, which, of course, you would be doing. Then there is the time taken to get icy cold.

Having said that, whenever I have bought a fridge/freezer, I have just unpacked it, put it in position and switched it on and never had a problem!

No doubt someone will come along soon to tell me I am wrong but I believe freezers only need to be left to stand if they have been tipped.

Personally I have not done this mod & wouldn't cos people don't usually want to buy a messed with van. I would put a small freezer in the awning if it was an issue - which it isn't. Depends how many of you travel I guess
