They will all be gone within 15 to 30mins of opening, have bought lots of their specials, and have always been outside the shop waiting for it to open.
when the doors open go straight to the item dont be distracted
was disapointed once when i went for computer items when a couple of people in front of me emptied the hole stand into 2 trolley in about 30 seconds flat i then saw them being sold at a market in North Wales at up to twice the price a week later
hi there! i work for aldi and just come straight to the tills at 9am and we will have them there, we've got quite a lot in ready for thurs so if you get there close to 9 then ou'll get one!!
yeah even tho i work for aldi it is a bit annoying haveing all these people turn up for one of our specials to have to say that we've sold out only 30 mins after opening, ive mentioned on many occasions to them that we should get more in but they only buy so many of each item!!
Well................... was at our local Aldi on Sunday at about 9.50am and joined a queue of 3, although there were quite a few more behind me by 10 o'clock.
Went direct to the non-foods area but there were no turntables to be seen, so went towards the checkouts and found a pallet of about 20 of them. Although there were a fair few folk in the store by then, I saw only 1 other person pick up a turntable. What was in the non-foods area was a stack of microwaves which I'd queued for about a couple of weeks ago, again there had been no mass stampede for them at the time either. On Sunday, there were also a pc and a laptop there which had been specials several weeks ago, so I wonder if there isn't the same demand for these Aldi specials now.
I have to say that we've bought a number of Aldi specials over the years and generally found them to be excellent items. I've just replaced my Aldi/Medion pc which I bought nearly 10 years ago!

I’ve read many posts about “Thursday Specials” at Aldi. Well next Thursday they will be selling a piece of kit I’ve been pondering for sometime (not camping related I must confess but may be of interest to those who own some LP’s (indeed know what an LP is [IMG]http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/chatter/forum_images/smiley2.gif" >) – it’s a USB turntable).
Now I definitely want to get my mits on one of these so a few questions about Aldi Specials if you please.
Do all stores get stock, and when they do is it ready on display come Thursday morning or do you generally have to wait for it to be put out on display? I’m not a frequent visitor to Aldi so don’t know the routine.
Reason I’m asking is I want to catch one of these before they sell out, so I want to get my backside down to Aldi’s at the earliest opportunity – 9:00am when they open if I know the stock will be there.
I’m probably being a tad anal in worrying about them selling out in a day, but you never know; there may be many people like me experiencing camping withdrawal and needing something to do. I have over 200 LP’s so converting them to MP3 should keep me busy for a while [IMG]http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/chatter/forum_images/smiley1.gif" >
Hi AudsleyI
I bought one of the turntables a few months ago and it worked great - I have loads of vinyl that I want to convert, but it is time consuming, and as of yet I have only managed to transfer some of my old northern soul singles, but it was worth the effort!
When I bought mine I went in a couple of days after the launch day, and I think they had about 10 left. I wouldn't worry too much, as they have had then in a couple of times before, and I would think that most people who wanted one would have one by now - having said that, it wouldn't hurt to go in early, but don't get too anxious about it though, as I'm sure you will be fine.....after all it's not camping equipment you're after.......

hi there! i work for aldi
Alison, I know it's nothing to do with USB turntables but have they had the fleece blankets in yet? I know it's always been round October time when they have them but I get email notifications of their special offers and the blankets haven't come up yet. Have I missed them or are they not doing them this year?

hi tracey, yeah worked for them for 7 yr, its a cracking job and they pay me well to do it, mind you i work very hard and do long days that go very fast - perfect job for an untrained fop like me! i see your in my district, how bizzare it would be to see you in my store, you only have to say to any of the girls or customers for that matter 'wich one's the camping one', and they'll point u right to me lol!
TM- yes we've had some in a few weeks ago, i keep my eye on these commeing in as i go through them quickly for camping and then when they're marked then they go in the dogs beds since there cheap enough though the recent ones to come in were a little more pricey and smaller, it'll be in the new yr when we get some more in, i will remember to let you know though when they are to come in!

Keep saying I will get one of these. Electricals from Aldi are normally pretty good and everything I have bought so far has been guaranteed for 3 years. Not bad when compared to most British warranties.
Just in case anyone is wondering what we are talking about this is it.
Might be worth going into your local Aldi the night before near closing time. They sometimes put stuff out raedy for the morning. If not maybe have a word with the manager.
The worse he can say is no!
hi there! we are under strict instructions from 'up above', that we arn't allowed to put them out or sell them before thur/sun, they show up on head office's comps if we do and we get big time! it wouldn't be fair to tell customers who've waited for them to come in that we sold em all the night before! you could try to sweet talk them into putting one aside for you to pick up, some managers will do this but again we're not sup to do that either!

I picked a lovely pink one up yesterday £9.99.
I'm thinking of going back to get another. Very impressed with the quality.
