 I have just purchased a Suncamp Ultima 260 porch awning for a 08 Compass Omega 550.

However the the lady at the shop said that the awning fits caravans with heights between 2.30- 2.50m -I have checked the caravan height which is 2.7m - 

Throughout las summer I have seen these porchs used on similar modern caravans and think that the porch should fit mine but i dont want to open the box as i cannnot return the awning if it doesnt fit.

does anyone use this awning with a similas caravan height to mine??

I have used this awning. The lady at the shop is right - some say it fits up to 2.45. It is not a huge difference to your van And I would guess it would be ok but I don't know. My van is 2.35 and the awning was not anywhere near hanging off the ground.

I suspect when you say your vans height is 2.7m that that is the overall height which includes the tv aeriel. The status aeriel is 280mm which would bring the height of your van down to around 2.5 m.
