I'm looking for a camping shop with a good varied display of tents. 

I live in Bedfordshire but don't mind a couple of hours drive. 

I've contacted Decathlon about viewing one of their 4 person pop up tents but they don't display them until the summer season - so if you want to change your tent in readiness for the nice weather - then tough :)

Tony WIld were one of my thoughts, also Yeomans at Northampton (back of the garden centre just off the A45/508) and Best Buys at Wellingborough. AT this time of year none of them are lkely to have major outdoor displays though!

Thanks for all your replies - I'll look into your suggestions over the next couple of months for an early spring visit.

We've bought from Tony Wild before and I would also recommend them.  For our next tent we want to look around a bit more though.

I'll second that Rabb   Jacksons have an indoor display of tents all year round - small tents upstairs and large tents downstairs.

A word of warning though. If you go to Jacksons just to 'have a look at their tents', be prepared to come away with lots of other camping equipment and bits'n'bobs - their equipment section is second to none - it's like an Aladins cave

Jacksons of Old Arley, Warwickshire is well worth a visit. We have been going there for over 20 years and always found what we needed (and more). Good displays of tents, equipment & clothing and even have an on site cafe & toilets.

yes yes another vote for jacksons of arley!

althought they don't stock outwells....
