I have just come across an eye catching sun canopy at the following website and think that this looks absolutely wonderful!!

Sun Canopy

I would be very interested to hear from other forum readers their views on whether they agree with my sentiments - and also whether they think that UK siteowners/managers - including the C&CC - will allow one of these to be put up by anybody camping with a tent.

Cheers!

Daddycamper

Morning Daddycamper.

I just looked at that site, those things look amazing,

I dont think any site would mind, considering we see so many Gazebo's these days.

I wouldnt mind one of them myself for the garden never mind the caravan / tent.

And a very good morning to you too, Ewan!!

I agree that one of these would look great in the garden too - I am very tempted to order one of these straight away!!

By the way, I just can't get back to sleep!!!

Cheers!!

Hi

Outwell do a v.v. similar thing called a California, costs about £50. Its about 6 foot high and 8 foot across at the widest point. The Outwell has a groundsheet which can be fully or partly attached up to the arc-ing canopy in order to provide additional shelter/shade if wanted.

See here http://www.completeoutdoors.co.uk/catalog/default.php/cPath/66

Hi there Merry Terrier

Many thanks for pointing me towards the Outwell version - I have not seen or come across these before and I do like the idea that you can close the thing right up using the purpose made grounsheet flaps!

I am quite a big chap and with four of us in the family - plus my guide dog, Robert - I think the Kelty Sun Shade would probably suit us better just on size alone!
