Does anyone have any experience of using these:
http://www.packmate.co.uk/packmate_roll_bag.htm
- Pack-mate roll-up (as opposed to ones that use a vacum cleaner) compression bags?

There are 'normal' ones and stronger 'outdoor' ones.

They have a 5 year guarantee which makes me think that they should be good and probably worth the money (they're pretty dear).

(With a new dog taking up a fair bit of space in our boot I'm planning ahead and trying desperately to avoid having to buy a trailer before our next camping trip!)

I've used them at home and for camping and find they're great.  Cuts down on the space needed to store stuff.  I find I have to kneel on them when rolling them to get more air out but someone younger and fitter might not have to.  Amazing how much smaller stuff becomes when the air's taken out.

Yes I use them and they're great. The jumbo one is a bit tricky to get all the air out of (there's a lot of air in it!) but like the pp I end up kneeling on it and even lying on it sometimes!

You just need to make sure that the vent isn't obstructed by whatever you've filled the bag with so that the air can get out.

I highly recommend them.
